Beginning today, we have started a new ministry called ELGUY. What is ELGUY? It stands for "Everyday Let God Use You". Brian will be making weekly posts to the ELGUY website dealing with faith applications and encouragement to let God use us as ministers throughout each day. A New You This New Year

E-mail Print PDF
There is generally a lot of excitement and optimism as we enter into a new year!  We think about all of the blessings and fresh experiences of life we will enjoy in the coming year.  Some are expecting a new child (or grandchild)!  Many are enthusiastic and hopeful.

Many of us also seek to set (and often re-set) goals for improvement in various areas of our life.  We might decide we are going to go on a new diet and exercise more to lose some weight, or just be healthier in general.  We may set new financial goals, like paying off a debt, or saving more money, or even being more generous in our giving.  We may think about steps we can take to improve a relationship, or ways we want to be a better parent.  Perhaps we decide to make more time in our schedule to spend with family or friends.

For some of us, we don't feel very excited right now, and think goal-setting is pointless.  We feel stressed, depressed, discouraged, like giving up, or all of the above.  Many of us are somewhere between excited and pessimistic.  Some areas of our life are good, but other areas are no where close to being positive or something to feel great about.

This series is for me!  If it helps someone else, then that's even better, but I know that I, for one, definitely need these messages from God's Word.  The lessons will, in general, be stressing spiritual focus, spiritual growth and spiritual renewal.  As a result, they will help with many specific areas and personal goals we as individuals may have for 2010, regardless or our current situation.

A 5-Lesson Series:

A Long Way To Grow?
A God-Hungry People?
The Grass Is Greener
Jesus' Prognosis Is An Ectomy!
Encouragement, Endurance, Energy and Enthusiasm!!!!

Everyone is invited to worship with us and to hear this series of messages from Scripture!

December 6th - Lesson 1: Why Mary? Why Shepherds?

December 13th - Lesson 2: A Culture of Sectarianism

December 20th - Lesson 3: An Invitation to Dream, Celebrate, and Change

December 27th - Lesson 4: A Mystery Story

Everyone is invited to join us in our worship of God and to hear this series of lessons.

A Church That Walks on Water

E-mail Print PDF

A Church That Walks On Water"A Church That Walks On Water" is a new series we are beginning for October and November!  We should be a church and Christians who step out in faith and God's power to accomplish His will.  If we want radical results in our life and in our church family we must be willing to have a radical faith that makes radical changes and is willing to take risks for God's kingdom and cause.

We will begin by looking at the story of Peter walking on water in Matthew 14 and the example of the 1st Century Church in Acts.  A few of the other stories and titles are:

A Wisher Or A Dreamer? (Genesis 37)
The Necessity of Community Vision AND ACTION (Nehemiah 3-6)
The Whine Flu (Numbers 13-14)
David And The Dwarf (1 Samuel 17)

We invite everyone to come out and hear this series.
